Movember is almost over!
Hello Beautiful People!!!
As some of you know, I have been growing my mustache during the month of November to bring attention to the cancers that affect men. Think of it as a male version of October-breast cancer month.
I had this wonderful plan of sending out this official email to raise money once my mustache was big and burly. The kind you could attach a stick to and sweep the floors of time square after the ball drops. One reminiscent of the super hero that tormented my youth and had all the grammar school kids asking for my brother Luigi. Well we've hit the end of the month and still I have the sorriest excuse for a manly mustache :(
Either way I am asking that you support the cause by making a donation. The funds raised go to the the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LIVESTRONG) and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
To make a donation, you can either:
• Click this link http://us.movember.com/mospace/161759/ and donate online using your credit card or PayPal account , or
• Write a check payable to ‘Movember Foundation’, referencing my Registration Number 161759 and mailing it to: Movember Foundation, PO Box 2726, Venice, CA 90294-2726.
All donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!!!

Movember!
Its here... Movember... as in Moustache November... as in the month I grow out my moustache to raise awareness of cancers that affect men. I couldn't believe that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 18-35. Money raised through Movember will go to organizations like The Lance Armstrong Foundation. To join my team or to donate check out my Mo'space.
This whole Movember thing has put moustaches on my brain. I'm loving these great mugs by Peter Ibruegger. He's totally NOT affiliated with the organization but they bring a smile to my face.

Javier Pacheco
I'm totally responding to these pieces by Javier Pacheco. Not sure if it's the weather, my recent insomnia or anxiety over the movie Paranormal Activity but I am feeling a lot like the little guy above.

Hamlet
I don't claim to be a theater buff but Jude Law did an awesome job as Hamlet! He did a great job of keeping the show moving with high energy, though I can't say the same for the rest of the cast. It almost felt as though Jude was doing a contemporary spin on Hamlet while the rest of the cast was lost in traditional Shakespearean training... not bad but not as entertaining. Gugu Mbatha-Raw played Ophelia, and while her singing was fun, here character didn't really develop until she goes crazy and then she dies... but then again so does everyone else... sorry for the spoiler ;)
Overall it was fun and I definitely recommend going to see it. The theater is cold so bring a sweater... It might be an effect to relate the stage with the audience since its snowing on stage but that was probably just coincidence.
P.S. Can someone re-crop the photo of JL on the cover of the Playbill... the widows peak is distracting and it would look so much better if it would cut about half an inch down :)

Ian Francis
Some art I love in a gallery were I can leave it when I'm done looking at it... Ian Francis' work, on the other hand, I want in my apartment.
Digi-pup come play
Sniff from karolina sobecka on Vimeo.
Interactive projections are becoming more and more popular but a puppy that can sense if my behavior is aggressive or friendly... that's amazing- his name is Sniff and was created by Karolina Sobecka :)
Bleeding Billboard
Wooster Collective featured this billboard that promotes road safety in New Zealand. It's pretty great except that if I was driving I would probably be so intrigued by the sign that I would crash, haha

Kids by Jean Paul Gaultier
There is something about kids in fashion that I find fascinating. The clothes slightly too big and too grown up for the purpose of playing. Maybe it was my mom dressing me up in white pants when i was a kid going to the park making it impossible for me to get on the swing and not get dirty. Check out the story here.

Empire State of Mind
The VMAs have me listening to Empire State of Mind on repeat! Jay-Z and Alicia Keys really break down the pride for this city :)
Plus does Jay-Z give a shout out to Ana Wintour?... listen right before the 2:50 mark...
out of context it makes no sense but the lyrics are:
...Now your in-style,
And in the winter gets cold en vogue with your skin out,...
but he's talking in-style and vogue and "...And in the winter" sure sounds like her name... either way, clever lyrics and great song.

Iain Crawford
Breathtaking! These shots are clearly a result of an amazing team of make-up artists but Iain Crawford is definitely producing wow moments.
Giving us back the Purple Glam
Great shoot in the new issue of Purple Magazine with all the Supermodels of the season shot by Terry Richardson which makes the world better :) The Dolce & Gabbana sleaves make an appearance and the shots are great. ABBEY LEE, MAGDALENA & ENIKO in one shot! More from the issue here.

Trek Thunder Kelly
I'm obsessed with the Juxtaposition. Trek Thunder Kelly is such a fascinating artist.
Trend.Land has more of his Native American series which I couldn't find on his site.
Agness Rocks My World
The September issues are coming out and the editorials are leaking online but so far the best one I've seen is Agness Deyn as Michael Jackson for Harper’s Bazaar by Terry Richardson... There is NOTHING wrong here - LOVE
check out more of the shoot at models.com

The styling guru Nicola Formichetti just posted an amazing editorial in OUT magazine featuring Lady Gaga and shot by Ellen Von Unwerth. I'm a fan! More pics on his blog.

I know I'm like a month late on all the Michael Jackson postings but I just got to this video today and I was completely entertained.

Gorilla Fur Please!
Ok, I get that neon pink gorilla fur coats/sleeves in the Fall Dolce & Gabbana campaign are better in editorial images than in the real world but they are so hot! Take a look at the rest of their fall campaign here. I love the shots though i could really do without Jesus Luz. They should have used Marlon Teixeira as their Brazilian muse.
