Visionaire issue 55 titled Surprise, raises the bar on Fashion Pop-up books. It's a collection of hard-cover pop up images by photographers Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Steven Klein, Sophie Calle, Andreas Gursky, Cai Guo-Qiang, Guido Mocafico, S0lve Sundsb0, Yayoi Kusama, Gareth Pugh and Alasdair McLellan. So great!
Last year Neiman Marcus created a pop-up book for their 100th anniversary that also received a lot of hype and was released during the Holiday 2007 season.
As a kid I was in love with Origami and Pop-up books. The thought of adding dimension to paper is so cool to me, hence why I am loving this trend in Fashion :)
