YES WE DID!!!!

I took the long way home from an election (Obama) party sponsored by Rock The Vote at Citrine and was in awe. The celebration and cheers were captivating as I entered Union Square. Rounds of High Fives were passed as people chanted 'Yes we did'... no one was celebrating winning– it was change that was impacting the crowd. I had stood only minutes earlier listening to the President elect MR. BARACK OBAMA, speak about change, about new promises, about pride..... PRIDE, an issue that i seriously thought was forgotten and yet i was, for the first time in my activist political life, filled with that word..... that sense... i was PROUD... I am PROUD, and 'change is gonna come!!! yes we did!
